I know its a little early, but thats the way I plan things.(way ahead) Just got the latest scoop from Rinehart. The shoot in Texas next year will be on March 10-11 of 07. The shoot will be hosted by Bucks and Ducks in Tyler,TX.Sorry, I don't have a contact No. at this time. Will find out latter or I'm sure someone from their will see this and add one.If you haven't ever shot a Rinehart 100,you need to try it just once and you'll be hooked.

I am going to take a guess here, the "100" means you will shoot 100 targets in two days?

Sounds like a blast to me.

Correct, it is 50 targets on Sat. and 50 on Sun.

Shot it last year in the artic of Lampassas. It was cold with ice all over the targets. I had a blast. It was my 8yoa son's first shoot. He had a blast as well. Momma tagged along and had fun as well. The moose at 60+ yards was pretty awesome. I met some great people, and had a great time. Look forward to Tyler this year. Luckily that is the first weekend of spring break where my son goes to school, so we can stay Sunday night and not have to drive home at 2am.

whats the farthest target usually

tree stand
01-04-2007, 10:11 PM
Most of the targets will be 30yds and under.:p Even the 19ft tall J-raf was only about 25yds. They did have a moose in the middle of a dried up pound that was beyond 50yds. That was the only long target of the 100.:D They also have a lot of give aways.Targets and stuff.
You can shoot all 100 targets in one day,but its best to use two days and shoot 50 each day.

That looks like an awesome course. I wish it wasn't so far away, I'd really like to see where the kill zone is on an alien.

tree stand
01-05-2007, 06:25 AM
Its in the chest or rib cage where you shoot all alians. He was only 25yds,so easy to see with binos.
Get a couple of your bud together and drive want be that bad.

That is only about 2 hours from Fort Worth, very cool. That's the beginning of spring break for my family (all teachers but me), but I've been wanting to make this one for a few years now.... maybe plans will work themselves out where I can get out there for a day.

27 has 4 trains and i am planner for all of poly blocks so i will be on at least 10 turnarounds this yr. just so happens that this is right in the middle of the poly 2 turnaround so am going to have to play it by ear. we're still wanting to go stepsons granddad lives about fifty miles from tyler so they want to go see him while i shoot the tourny, just have to see if i can get away for that weekend

Hello to all 3-D shooters.
If you are going to the R100 shoot. You can pre-register on line at www. r100.org and save 5.00 bucks. Again the contact no. is 903-939-0693 Buck and Ducks.Ask for Brian or Jamie.I think the closiest motel is the Days Inn Northest.the no. is 903-877-9227.They said the are only about 5 minutes from the range.Ask them for the web address for the location on the shoot. You can get directions from that.

tree stand
02-11-2007, 01:56 PM
It's hard to say how many will show up.Last year there was almost 200 showed up,and it was 23 dg's and freezeing rain both days. They say,(Rinehart people) there can be 300 or more show up.Should be alot of fun.
