Big Oak Bowhunting
As I type this, I realize I'm quite biased about Big Oak as I have been there 3 times. I have been to quite a few day leases with some being really good and some just so so. When you arrange or schedule to go to Big Oak, you will have your first encounter with Marty "Buff" Thomas. You will know instantly that you are in for a good time. Upon arrival, you will find a very beautiful camp house and barn and see that it is first class. Great accomodations make for a much better hunt. The hunting area is in the middle of east texas woods and is a rolling hills and creeks of some tight to not so tight areas. He has a plethra of stands, from the high box type stands, to ladders, tripods, Turtle blinds and my favorites the carpet blinds. The shots are setup for all calibers of hunting people, from kids to woman, to Traditional to Crossbow, to compound. One thing Buff will never be accused of is starving his animals. The feed continues to go off through out the morning and afternoon. You WILL see plenty of game during your hunt. Trophy caliber animals including: Fallow, Sika, Axis, Blackbuck, Ibex, Ram and pigs. The Red Stag will blow you away from the size of the their bodies to the crowns on their heads. If by chance your game doesn't present an opportunity, Buff and Chunky will work their butts off for you. Like I said to start with, I've been there 3 times and cant wait to book with them again! You will not regret going to Big Oak Bowhunting!
