My canoe/kayak trailer build

Made a canoe/kayak trailer out of my little Dilly boat trailer. First welded frame. Then painted and padded. Loaded and ready to go. Later I drilled holes and added eye bolts to secure with ratchet straps.

Looks good. Is your trailer galvinized? How did you attach the front support is it only welded at that one spot?

I was thinking it could use a gossett there. even a small one would help

Might want to add a front to back brace on each side,

Just welded in the 1 spot on the tongue. I have a front to back brace in the middle. It feels real solid, and not much weight in the kayaks and canoe. I might have to add some more bracing, but I think it will be ok like it is.

a floor and boxes helps out a lot with storage

The thing i worry about is that when you store kayaks on a trailer, in the heat, the sagging in the middle can ruin a kayak pretty quick. Im crossing this bridge now myself. Need to come up with a way to suspend the entire kayak on the trailer without having it sag.
