ID:	24895796I found picked up a used bow today for $28. It is a PSE Impala. It was in bad shape. The limbs were twisted and the riser separating. But $28 bucks I took a chance.

I completely separated the two halves of the riser with my pocket knife and sanded both halves to clean and prepare the surface for re gluing.

Once smooth, I used mineral water to raise the grain and applied a liberal coating of gorilla wood glue. Lined em up, clamped em down, and waited 5 hours for it to dry.

While the riser dried, I turned my attention to the warped limbs.

They were twisted really really bad. You simply could not string the bow. So I heated up the oven (200 degrees) and baked them for 7 min each. I wrapped them with towels and placed them in my clamp and began to twist them back into place. With some effect, they are straight enough to shoot with a fair amount of accuracy.

Right now it is strung and sitting on a flat surface until tomorrow.
