Remove dead stop from z7

I tried to remove the dead stop from my z7 in order to install an Athens Anchor Stop. Howevever as I unscrewed the stud from the brass grommet on the back of the bow, the grommet began to unscrew from the riser so I stopped while I was ahead. I'm not sure if the stud and grommet are one piece or if they have just corroded together. Any ideas?
