Not a professional ager, but I would guess him at 4 1/2 judging from those pics.

I agree with the 3.5-4.5 assessment. His back and belly aren't sagging yet. Lots very muscular though. I bet in the next year or two he really puts on mass.

Neck not quite thick enough at the base for me to go over 4 and I would err on the side of 3 if I had to.

2.5 - 3.5 looks more like to me...

I'm by no means any good at aging, but I was guessing in the 5.5-6.5 range. If that deer is 3.5-4.5, just imagine what he will look like in a couple of years. I saw that it was in Kansas, so that may have something to do with my being off, but if I saw that deer in the hill country, expecially this year, I'd bet he was older than I am!

The buck in the back of the 3rd pic is clearly minimum 5+ yrs with the body and blocky head, a buck like that helps me to compare. The buck in questions looks 3-4 to me. Those midwest bucks are hosses.

My guess is 3.5... if he was 4 he would have a sagging back or at least an arch. He is straight as an arrow. Small brisket....Narrow face and head..
