I had a good hunt this past weekend, went to Keith Johns. I went hoping to shoot a Black buck, but knowing how hard they are to hunt I decide if another exotic come in I would shoot it. Keith took me to the stand around 4:30 pm and as we approached the stand a group of Black bucks took off, I get into the stand hoping they would come back. I hunted that stand until dark and only saw two nice looking Fallow bucks and two whitetail does. The next morning I decide I would hunt the stand at the back of the property. Around 8:00 am a Fallow buck came in from behind me and stopped just outside my shooting range. I watched him for awhile until this Sika buck walked to the feeder. After a brief moment thinking to myself should I shoot him or wait and see if I can get a Black buck. I decide to shoot him. Here are some photos of the Sika and of the Axis buck I shot a few months back. Sorry about all the blood.
