I think that JReyna920 uses them. He recommended "beaver balls" to me for my Hoyt Dorado. I'm going to give them a try!

So what you're saying is that each hairy beaver is unique and you might need to trim to fit?:D

Hey Muzzle, It says TradRag.com on the bottom of the page, not TradGang. Just wondering which it was. I've never heard of TradRag.com before.

Beaver Balls are Arvin's favorite. They are the most quiet in his opinion. He is always being told how quiet his bows are. He always shoots a 500-550 g wood arrow, that could be part of it.

I use them as well as the beaver balls..prefer the hairy seem to be as quiet with less mass of hair to me

I wonder if that's what Bob put on the strings for my bows. They are round and brown.

Steve, Bob uses wool yarn. it is pretty water resistant and works well as a silencer.

the set usually will weigh about 18-22 grs. I think they work extremely well, i use them on all my bows. a set of rubber cat wiskers usually weigh around 60 grs uncut, i like the weight difference and i can get my bows alot quieter with the beaver skins

I use them and like them. They sling a little water when wet though, but dont lay down or mat up.

I have used "beaver balls" for years. Recently I tried some of the "hush puppies" (the vendor is a sponsor on TradGang) and llike them better.

I wonder if you get truck bumper or window stickers that say, "All my bows have hairy beavers on them" of course they would have to show those little Beavers they use in the add on both sides of the sticker....

I know what you were thinking :D

He sent me a complimentary set to use on my next longbow I'm doin. as well as a nice set of rattler skins from another feller of 2 smaller longer skins.(the Diamonds will fit almost exact on the limbs)

The hair is of a select brand of fur, it's thicker hair than most I've ran my hand across. He sent me a black beaver so I guess he can dye fur too.

I'll be starting the build a long next week so I'll let ya know how well they perform against the montana beaver prime hides I have in the cave.

Aloha
