Okie dokie. Here they are.
Pictures won't ever do justice to the looks of these but I ain't no picture taker.
1. Wildcatt with east Indian rose wood and bamboo limbs, Chenchen riser.
I have no idea what the front woods are.

2. Blackhills with Cocobolo riser and Red elm under some sort of fancy dancy Maple with little paw print looking things in the grain. This is one I did not intend to buy even though it was so purdy. And then I shot it. Big mistake!

One word about the Wildcatt. This thing is dead quiet and fast! Absolutely zero hand shock. I had requested this one made with the dark woods for hunting out of my double bull. It's a winner!

Now for the pixels-----------

If I may:
# 1 East Indian rosewood limbs, che chen (caribean rosewood) riser with leopard wood overlays.
#2 Nicaruguan Cocobolo riser, red elm limbs with big leaf maple burl veneers.

Those are some beautiful bows Steve..

Ya know... I almost didn't click on this thread.

Reason being, I knew what I'd be looking at, and that just makes it soooooo much harder to avoid calling ol' Bob up, and telling him to make me a bow.

note: Bob & I share only one common background to my knowledge - both having been president of the Austin Archery Club, but in different eras. I met Bob only once, and have been chafing at the bit ever since, trying to avoid/find a reason, to actually go see him, and order (or not order), one of those gorgeous customs.

So far I've resisted. Please, no more "Sarrell's Great New Bow" threads because my resistance is waning fast.

Thanks RD.
I slapped together a few boards today and made me a bow rack today.
Still needs stain and a deer head silhouette jig sawed into the back board.

I guess my next task will be arrows and tuning.
I shot some of Bob's arrows yesterday that flew extremely good. I may try some set up like those.

Great looking bows, when did you pick them up? I was in Bob's shop on Thursday, and they look pretty familiar.

Shot most of his models except for the bobcat takedown (didn't have a righty). Ordering a ridgecat, with that 'Ambrosia maple' - same limb you have with the paw prints. Tx ebony & Cocobolo riser. . . may get a second set of longbow limbs, but not sure at this point.

Really liked that wildcatt, but it was a bit harder for me to shoot - got a little bit of string pinch due to my draw length.

He does make a great bow. Look forward to getting mine, suspect I'll have to make a change or two before the final is produced!
